An Introduction to Me
I grew up in a small town and was raised with small town values. Through everything I did as a child, I was taught the importance of family, generosity, honesty, integrity, and hard work. Playing sports all through my childhood and high school career showed me the value of teamwork and the skills it took to work with others. Graduating as valedictorian of my class showed me that all of the hard work you put in really pays off.
I am currently a student at Syracuse University. I am dual majoring in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in Public Relations and Policy Studies, with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies.
While dual majoring in public relations and policy studies, I have discovered acute passions in politics, middle eastern studies, and international relations. I simply love to learn. Knowledge, understanding, and perspective are invaluable traits to be gained from an education I can’t imagine my life without.
I am extremely enthusiastic about the fields that I am studying. I work hard to acquire the skills and knowledge that I need to become a successful and respectable public relations and communications professional. I am a highly self-motivated individual and a slight perfectionist, and I am eager to learn.
I hope to one day go into a career in government or political public relations or public affairs. I truly love what I do.
This blog will consist of all of the things in the public relations field that I find interesting, from government and political PR and PA, to new technologies, to crisis management, my experiences in the PR field, and everything in between. I hope that while you are here you will also check out my portfolio and the work that I have accomplished thus far.
